Customer Needs
Techrete is an architectural façade manufacturer based in Balbriggan, County Dublin. They have a large energy demand driven by the industrial nature of the site. Techrete wanted to transition its public buildings towards renewable energy to meet environmental goals and reduce energy costs. The key drivers behind the project included:
Techrete are pursuing net zero emissions by 2030 and onsite generation of electricity
A desire to minimize rising electricity costs.
Techrete also have a large expanse of unused roof space.
The Solution Delivered by AEI
Through a successful partnership with AEI Roof Solutions, techrete has taken substantial steps toward becoming more sustainable:
Photovoltaic Installations: Comprised of a 320kw Autarco Solar PV system and an output guarantee to ensure that projected savings are delivered.
Energy Efficiency and Savings: The solar system will generate a large portion of their electricity demand behind the meter and free of carbon emissions. There will be a 4 year payback period with a 26% return on investment.
Environmental Impact: The installed PV systems contribute to a reduction of 70 tons of CO2 emissions per year, helping the Techrete hit net zero emissions by 2030, Techrete wanted to make a big impact as quick as possible.
