Customer Needs
Weinsberg Pellets produces sustainable wood pellets in the Waldviertel region in Austria. The pellets consist of freshly pressed chips from sustainably managed spruce forests in Austria's largest closed forest area, the Weinsberg Forest. An impressive open-space photovoltaic system was installed at Weinsberg Pellets by Secundo Photovoltaik to facilitate the sustainable production of wood pellets at the factory.
The Solution Delivered by Secundo
Through a successful partnership with Secundo, Weinsberg Pellets has made a substantial step toward becoming more sustainable manufacturing company:
Photovoltaic Installation: A total 1.8MW was installed at Wiensberg Pellets site with 1400 kWp as a ground mounted installation and 400 kWp being installed as a roof mounted installation. The installation of 9143 m2 on its manufacturing site allows Weinsberg Pellets to cover part of its annual electricity needs.
