Customer Needs

CITBA Group is an industrial manufacturing company that provides automation, engineering, production, and construction services. With high energy requirements at their France manufacturing facility, CITBA wanted to transition its energy usage model from traditional energy sources to a self consumption renewable model. Thus they enlisted Wewise Soltea to assist in this energy transition.

The Solution Delivered by Wewise Solewa

Through a successful partnership with Wewise Solewa, the manufacturing facility has taken substantial steps toward becoming more sustainable:

  • Photovoltaic Installations: 1,274 solar panels spread over an area of ​​around 3,500 square meters, were installed. This included a combination of ground mounted and shade mounted systems on its boiler making site.

  • Battery Storage: In addition to the solar PV installation, Wewise Solewa proposed a solution that included 17 solar-powered charging stations amounting to 200 kWh of additional lithium storage capacity.

  • Energy Efficiency and Savings: Using a self-consumption and sale of surplus energy model would allow for CITBA to cover 72% of the sites annual electricity needs.

  • Environmental Impact: The installed PV systems and battery storage contribute to a reduction of 265 tons of CO2 emissions per year, helping CITBA have a impact on climate change and facilitate its renewable transition.
