Customer Needs
SEW Eurodrive, wanted to transition its motor production facility toward renewable energy to meet environmental goals and reduce energy costs. The key drivers behind the project included:
The need to lower the reliance on traditional energy sources, thus reducing CO2 emissions.
The complex nature of the buildings and the safety of he system has to be taken into consideration. It was important that production was not affected by the installation phase and the grid connection.
The Solution Delivered by Wirsol
Through a successful partnership with Wirsol Roof Solutions, SEW Eurodrive has taken substantial steps toward becoming more sustainable:
Photovoltaic Installations: A total of 8,829 photovoltaic modules were installed on the parking garage and on the roof of the electric motor production facility. These systems contribute significantly to the the businesses clean energy supply, generating up to a substantial proportion of energy.
Environmental Impact: The installed PV systems contribute to a reduction of 1541 tons of CO2 emissions per year, helping SEW Eurodrive make a meaningful impact on climate change and promoting a greener future the region.
